Spring 2023

Jacket and matching skirt inspired by Vivienne Westwood and the rich history of tartan in punk fashion. I started with the fabric for this project, intentionally choosing three separate plaids to work together and pattern mix. This jacket is double breasted with a split peplum, a portrait neckline and exaggerated collar, and four bound buttonholes. This process expanded my knowledge of pattern drafting, tailoring, couture technique, and handwork.
